01. KEY CLONING
KEY CLONING is the most basic key programming, if you have an original key we can basically cut a new one and just copy the IMMO info onto new key.
02. OBD PROGRAMMING
OBD PROGRAMMING is the most common way to programme new keys. This involves plugging a tool into the OBD port and writing an extra key onto the IMMO.
03. EPROM
EPROM is the most advanced way to program new keys. This is specialist and involves the IMMO being removed from the car and the new keys added via internally. This is the most expensive and with certain vehicles its the only option. This is also commonly used if there are no keys at all with the car. 04. LOCK PICKING AND DECODING
Picking the lock involves using specialist lock picking tools and experience. This is used when keys are lost and we need to decode the lock in order to add and cut a new key.
05. REACH AND BREACH
REACH AND BREACH involves using air bags in the corner of the door to create a big enough gap to enable us to get reach kits through and either hook keys, pull door handles, lift locks or push buttons.
06. SNAPPED KEY EXTRACTION
SNAPPED KEY EXTRACTION is where if you unfortunately snap your key in the lock, we use tools to remove the key and if needed make and cut a new key.
About our
Key Programmers
Our key programmers are highly experienced and can work on all types of auto keys. Any car manufactured after 1995 will have a transponder key to reduce the risk of theft. When the car key is inserted into the ignition, the ECU will send the key a message to confirm it is the right key. The transponder chip within the key then sends the ECU a message to confirm the serial number. Then the immobiliser is deactivated, allowing you to start the engine.
As a result, if your transponder key becomes broken or faulty and needs replacing, it’s not as simple as just cutting a new key. The new transponder will need programming so it can communicate with your immobiliser and ECU.
Our team of expert car locksmiths can also repair or replace transponder chips if your existing one has become faulty. Alternatively, if you need replacement keys, the chip in the new set of keys will need to be programmed to your vehicle’s settings.
Alternatively, if you have lost your keyless entry fob or need a spare, then we can supply a new key fob and program it, so it works just like the original.
